Titans add Lee to their recruits
Gold Coast Titans have signed outside back Brenko Lee after he was released by the Canterbury Bulldogs.
New coach Garth Brennan has continued his recruitment drive at the Titans, having already brought in Mitch Rein, Michael Gordon and Leilani Latu.
Lee will be returning home, having come through the Souths-Logan nursery before signing with Canberra at the start of his NRL career.
The 22-year-old was granted a release by Canterbury coach Dean Pay on Thursday, and will start training with his new team-mates next month.
He is viewed as a future Maroons representative and has played 30 NRL matches with the Raiders and Bulldogs.
Brennan said of Lee: "He is returning home to south-east Queensland, so we hope him being comfortable at home will help him play his best football. We have had a number of changes to the squad and he'll definitely help us in the outside backs."
Lee played for the Junior Kangaroos in 2015 but months later was called up into the Tonga squad and made his international debut earlier this year.
Meanwhile, St George Illawarra have re-signed back-rower Luciano Leilua for two more seasons.
Leilua won Illawarra RLFC's Intrust Super Permiership player of the year award last season.
Dragons director of rugby league pathways Ian Millward said of the 21-year-old: "Luciano is a player who has come through all of our junior ranks and we believe he's one of the most skilful player in our Top 30.
"His training this pre-season has been outstanding. There's been a complete physical and mental change about the way he goes about his business. We really believe 2018 is going to be a super year for Luciano."
