Williams gets third Raiders stint
Sam Williams has signed up for a third stint at Canberra Raiders, after agreeing a two-year contract.
The Raiders local junior will return for 2018 following a spell with Wakefield Trinity.
Williams was an instrumental part of Trinity's rise into the Super 8 stages of the English Super League this year, after departing the Raiders at the end of 2016.

He made his Raiders debut in 2011 and stayed until the end of 2013. He came back to represent the Green Machine again for the 2015 and 2016 seasons, having in between had spells with both Dragons clubs.
Williams moved to St George Illawarra Dragons and played seven NRL games before joining Catalans Dragons in the Super League where he scored four tries in 10 games and kicked 29 goals.
Williams is backing himself to break into the Canberra team again.
"There haven't been a lot of changes since I left last time, it will be easy for me to slide back into the club, I know the culture and how the place works, it was exciting to get the call back to come here," he said.
Canberra's recruitment and high performance manager Peter Mulholland said the club was thrilled to have Williams return to the club.
He said: "Sam has proven in the past he is an NRL standard halfback and we are looking forward to him rejoining the squad for the next two seasons.
"We know what a hard worker Sam is and we're expecting him to rejoin the squad and provide us with competition in the halves which is a good thing for any club to have."
Canberra are 12/1 to win the 2018 grand final.
The Raiders are 4/6 to finish in the top eight.
