Faraimo eager to impress
New Hull FC signing Bureta Faraimo admits he is eager to honour the club's history when he pulls on the jersey in 2018.
Faraimo has signed for the Black and Whites after appearing for USA in the recent World Cup, and having earned a name at club level with Parramatta Eels in the NRL.
Hull head into the new campaign on the back of a second successive Challenge Cup victory, but they are yet to win the Super League Grand Final. They can be backed at 17.00 to put that right in 2018 and at 17.00 to triumph in the Challenge Cup again.
"I can't wait to put that jersey on and I've heard a lot of stories that the fans are really passionate over here and I can't wait to get amongst the action. I really want to do the club proud over the next 12 months," said Faraimo, who usually operates as a winger.
"I had a look up about Hull FC and it's a good club and I know they've won the Challenge Cup the last two years and that's massive. I hope I can continue the success the club has already had."
Faraimo is among a number of NRL players that will be making their Super League debuts in 2018, and the USA international admits it will take some time to acclimatise to the English style of play.
"I'm still trying to get my head wrapped around the Super League concept," he added. "But the whole buzz around the knockout competitions and all the trophies within the competition itself is exciting and I'm really keen to get involved."
Hull begin their Super League campaign with a home match against Huddersfield Giants on Thursday 1st February.
