Radford calls for complete focus
Hull FC head coach Lee Radford has challenged his players to earn their spot in the squad for the Challenge Cup Final with a strong performance in Friday's home match against Huddersfield Giants.
Hull will face Wigan Warriors in the Challenge Cup Final next Saturday, but they will aim to take another step towards sealing their position in the top four when they take on the Giants.
Hull are 11/10 to win the Challenge Cup final and 7/2 to triumph in the Grand Final.
"I'd want to put a shift in, that is for sure if I was playing. It certainly wouldn't do any harm for them to do that, and the final result will be determined by what attitude the players turn up with on the night," said Radford, who led the team to a first ever Wembley Cup Final victory in 2016.
"There's no easy game in this competition because you tend to get a very similar opposition whether you're playing first in the table or eighth. We said that we'd speak about the Challenge Cup when that week arrives.
"But we've obviously still got one more game to go. People are already wishing us luck for the final.
"But we're just very focused on Huddersfield at this moment in time, and securing the two points in that game."
Castleford Tigers wrapped up the League Leaders Shield with victory over Wakefield Trinity on Thursday. Leeds Rhinos face St Helens and Wigan Warriors take on Salford Red Devils in Friday's other Super 8s fixtures.
