Sneyd confident of Hull FC glory
Marc Sneyd is confident that Hull FC can challenge for Super League honours next season, claiming 'we've got everything we need to win trophies'.
The 26-year-old has already tasted success with the Black and Whites since joining ahead of the 2015 campaign with successive Challenge Cup wins in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
Hull looked set to challenge for the Super League this past season when they finished third in the regular season only to then lose 18-16 to eventual champions Leeds Rhinos in their play-off semi-final clash.
We do need to push on and tweak a couple of things but I think we’ll be fine if we do that and results will show.Marc Sneyd
And Sneyd firmly believes that a few minor changes are all that is required to push them one step further in 2018.
He told the Yorkshire Post: "We've got everything we need to win trophies. We've shown that by winning two Challenge Cups.
"Coming towards the back end of last season I think it was just about tweaking a couple of things when the weather changed.
"A few times last season we got caught up playing summer rugby in wet weather conditions which inevitably killed us.
"But we gave ourselves a good chance of getting there [Grand Final]. Obviously, we were beaten by two points at Leeds which is no disgrace in anyone's book.
"As long as we kick on for next year I think we'll be alright. We do need to push on and tweak a couple of things but I think we’ll be fine if we do that and results will show."
