Watts expects further improvement
Hull FC forward Liam Watts believes the Black and Whites can continue to improve in 2018.
Lee Radford's men enjoyed another strong year in 2017, retaining their Challenge Cup title, before going down to Leeds in the Super League play-offs.
It was the second straight year that they have lost to the eventual Grand Final winners and after some near misses, the Airlie Birds seem to be knocking on the door for a maiden Super League title.
Hull will be hoping the signing of wing Bureta Faraimo can make up for the departure of Mahe Fonua, while the return of prop Mickey Paea is sure to go some way to replacing Gareth Ellis up front.

Fellow front-rower Watts will also be looking to carry the extra burden and having signed a new deal midway through last term, is now a key part of the squad.
Radford's side are 41.00 to finally be the last team standing at Old Trafford in 2018, while another Challenge Cup crown is 17.00.
Watts will be aiming to help his team start the season well when Huddersfield come to the KCom on Friday 1st February.
At 27, the former KR man is entering his peak years and is backing his side to continue their upward curve in the new year.
"Winning the Challenge Cup again was another highlight of the year and winning it back-to-back," Watts told hullfc.com
"Year on year we've been getting better and now it's just topping that again and going one step further.
"Who knows this year we could be challenging for a Grand Final so we'll have to take it week by week like we have done each year."
