McCall wants more consistency
Saracens boss Mark McCall says that he wants to see more consistency from his side in the coming year.
Sarries have won their last two games, both in the Aviva Premiership, against Leicester Tigers and Worcester, but that came on the back of a seven-game losing run, threatening to derail their season in three competitions.
We know there's a level we can go to, we've seen it but we need to be there more often.Mark McCall
The side are back in second place in the Premiership, though 10 points behind leaders Exeter Chiefs, while the defending champions are third in Pool 2 of the European Champions Cup, behind Clermont Auvergne and Ospreys and they are also third in their pool in the Anglo-Welsh Cup.
So, it has been an under-achieving season so far and, McCall wants to get their campaign back on track.
Speaking after their 46-31 win over Worcester, McCall said: "We need to be more consistent during games and from game to game, we know there's a level we can go to, we've seen it but we need to be there more often.
"We've been magnificent at times this season, had some performances which were top draw and top level and some that haven't been."
Sarries are back in league action on Sunday when they travel to Coventry to take on Wasps who can overtake the visitors in the table if they win at the Ricoh Arena.
The game will be Saracens last Premiership game until February; Champions Cup fixtures against Ospreys and Northampton Saints and Anglo-Welsh games taking place in the interim.
Sarries are 2.10 to win the Aviva Premiership Grand Final and are 1213.00 to win the Champions Cup.
Meanwhile, England are 1213.00 to win the grand slam at this year's Six Nations.
