O'Sullivan shows champion form
Ronnie O'Sullivan has revealed that he is enjoying his snooker again after playing impressively to reach the semi-finals of the Champion of Champions.
O'Sullivan, who has won the tournament on two previous occasions, defeated Neil Robertson 4-1 on Thursday before thrashing John Higgins 6-0.
The Rocket was beaten by Higgins in last year's final but gained revenge for that defeat by whitewashing the Scot, finishing the match off with a break of 138 in the sixth frame.
"I felt like I was in control of my game," said a delighted O'Sullivan afterwards. "I just enjoy playing, enjoy competing and knowing that, if I stay focused and give every shot 100 per cent, I will have impacts in parts of the game where I can dominate and pull away.
"The only way you beat Higgins 6-0 is if he has played poorly because, if he plays well, no matter how well you play, he will have an impact on the game.
"The scoreline was more to do with John not being anywhere near where he is capable of being, and I punished him and stayed professional and disciplined and did a job."
O'Sullivan is 1/10 to beat Anthony Hamilton in Friday evening's semi-final, while Shaun Murphy is 4/5 to come out on top against Luca Brecel on Saturday in the other last-four clash.
