Former champion Angelique Kerber hopes to draw on her 2016 run to glory as she prepares for an Australian Open semi-final with Simona Halep.
Kerber booked her place in the last four in Melbourne with a dominant 6-1 6-2 victory over Madison Keys, with Halep joining her later in the day as she swept past Karolina Pliskova 6-3 6-2.

And Kerber, who endured a tough 2017 after winning both the Australian Open and the US Open the previous year, is hoping to draw on the feelings she had when she was at the top of her game.
She told reporters after an impressive display against Keys: "I know that I was working hard in the off-season and I know that I can play good matches.
"I'm just trying to find the feeling back I had like in 2016. I just try to enjoy myself again on court. I'm feeling good."
Meanwhile, top seed and world number one Halep was preparing herself for a tough encounter with Kerber, with the Romanian chasing an elusive first Grand Slam title.
She added: "It will be a different challenge against Angelique Kerber.
"I have to be ready, be calm and try to dominate the match and finish the points. I'm not thinking about the result, I just want to play my best."
Halep and Kerber have met on eight previous occasions, with their head-to-head tied at four wins apiece.
Their only previous meeting at a Grand Slam came at Wimbledon in 2016, when Kerber 7-5 7-6 in a quarter-final clash.
Kerber is available at 8/11 to defeat Halep in Melbourne and is 3/1 to do so in three sets, with Halep 11/2 to win the first set but lose the match.
