Sooners and Bulldogs head to Pasadena
The Oklahoma Sooners and the Georgia Bulldogs will meet at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on 1st January in the College Football Playoff semi-final.
It's a game worthy of the national title match up with Oklahoma having lost only to Iowa State while Georgia's lone defeat was to Auburn. The Bulldogs gained their revenge over the Tigers in the SEC Championship game over the weekend and helped to push Auburn out of the Top 4 in the committee rankings.
Bowl season will start 16th December with six games.
Boise State against Oregon in the Las Vegas Bowl appears to be the highlight of the day with Grambling against North Carolina A & T, Tory vs. North Texas, Western Kentucky facing Georgia State, Marshall matching up with Colorado State and Middle Tennessee taking on Arkansas State the others on the slate.
Numerous Bowl games follow although you have to wait until after Christmas for some of the juicier contests including Stanford and TCU playing in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Washington State and Michigan State heading to the Holiday Bowl in San Diego and what already sets up as the most interest Bowl of the lot, USC against Ohio State at the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, Texas.
This is the game that should be played in the Rose Bowl, not Georgia against Oklahoma and it is a shame that there is no provision for the Rose Bowl to duck out of the national semi-final game and hand it over to the Cotton Bowl.
The Sooners are 4.50 to win the NCAAF Championship and the Bulldogs are priced at 5.00.
