Shane Warne has backed captain Michael Clarke to respond to the pressure as Australia seek victory in the series decider against South Africa in Cape Town.
Clarke has not scored more than 24 runs in his past 11 Test innings, and is in the spotlight after what was a poor collective performance in the second Test.
Australia had started the series against the Proteas with the same kind of form that saw them sweep England 5-0 in the Ashes on home soil.
But after their 281-run victory at Centurion, they were well beaten at Port Elizabeth where Clarke made 19 in the first innings and just a single in the second.
Australia were beaten by 231 runs, to leave the series resting on the third Test starting on Saturday.
Warne said he was confident the tourists would win the decider, adding: "The disappointment of that second Test will be a spur, plus Shane Watson coming back will have a point to prove and Michael Clarke is hitting the ball OK and is due."
He said: "Clarke likes it when it's all on the line and likes it when the pressure is right on. That's why I think he will get a big score in this Test.
"It's just a bit harsh that everyone is jumping on him now. In the Ashes he got two hundreds in the first two Tests when it mattered. We have relied on him for the last few years and he kept producing. But you know with Michael Clarke that he likes it when it's up for grabs."
Since he made 113 and 148 in back-to-back Test innings in Brisbane and Adelaide at the start of the Ashes series, Clarke's highest score has been 24.
On the current tour, he has made 60 runs in four innings including an unbeaten 17 in the second innings at Centurion.
South Africa can be backed at 2.00 to win the third Test and secure a series victory, with Steyn 2.00 to be top 1st innings bowler for South Africa, while Morne Morkel can be backed at 2.00.
