Bayern supremo drops Haaland move hint
Bayern Munich sports director Hasan Salihamidzic has admitted Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is someone who interests the German champions.
German giants Bayern are 13/20 to beat Borussia Monchengladbach, who are 10/3 to win, with the draw 7/2 in their Bundesliga opener on Friday.
The Bavarians go into the new season targeting a 10th successive Bundesliga title but are under new management with former Leipzig boss Julian Naglesmann having replaced Hansi Flick in the dugout.
And although David Alaba has departed for Real Madrid, Bayern have improved their defence with the signing of Dayot Upamecano from Leipzig, while also signing Omar Richards from Reading and Sven Ulreich from Hamburg.
But they may still have more business to conclude this summer with Dortmund starlet Haaland having been linked to the club.
Haaland finished with the third-highest goal tally in the Bundesliga behind Robert Lewandowski and Andre Silva last term, netting 27 times in the German top flight.
The forward managed 41 goals in the same number of games across all competitions last season and is regarded as one of the sharpest young players on the continent, having also previously shone at Molde and Red Bull Salzburg.
Haaland on radar
And Bayern's director has hinted the club have considered making a move for Haaland, who has seven goals from 12 games for Norway.
Speaking to SPORT 1, Salihamidzic said: "This is a top player that the whole world probably wants - of course we look there.
"Otherwise we would be full amateurs."
