Bellingham displays have Rose purring

Borussia Dortmund manager Marco Rose was full of praise for the "outstanding" Jude Bellingham following his performance in Saturday's 3-1 win at Arminia Bielefeld.

Dortmund play host to Cologne in the Bundesliga next Saturday and are 9/20 for victory. Cologne are 11/2 to spring a surprise, while the draw is a 15/4 shot.

Title challenge

BVB sit second in the Bundesliga, having collected 21 points from nine games, and are just a point behind leaders Bayern Munich.

Dortmund recorded a third successive league win with the 3-1 win at Bielefeld, where goals from Emre Can, Mats Hummels and Bellingham ensured they went home with maximum points.

England international Bellingham netted his third goal of the season in all competitions at the Bielefelder Alm and is becoming one of Rose’s most trusted employees.

The 18-year-old was signed for £25m from Birmingham last summer and has already racked up 38 appearances for the Bundesliga side.

Momentum key for Rose

Bellingham has featured 15 times for Dortmund this season and the midfield maestro has also grabbed two assists, to go with his three goals.

Talented teen

The teenager was a part of the England squad that finished runners-up at Euro 2020 and he has been capped on eight occasions.

Bellingham's goal against Arminia Bielefeld was a moment of brilliance and Rose, who left Borussia Monchengladbach to take charge of Dortmund at the start of the season, thinks he is a player of immense talent.

Speaking to the Bundesliga's official website, Rose said: "Jude's an outstanding lad. He's been an ever-present for weeks now.

"He's in a great frame of mind and gives us so much. He never stops running and just plays so well."
