City spurned chances
A first half which City dominated without creating a hatful of chances saw both teams go into the dressing room with the score 0-0.
However, Sadio Mane's strike on the hour mark lit the match up after great work from Mohamed Salah.
Foden found the equaliser with a neat finish from a tight angle on the left-hand side of the box before Salah's brilliant solo effort restored Liverpool's advantage - his sixth Premier League goal of what has been a fantastic start to the campaign.
