Grealish relishing working with Pep
Jack Grealish has said he "cannot wait" to work with Pep Guardiola as he gears up to make his Premier League debut for Manchester City at Tottenham on Sunday.
City, who are 10/11 to retain the Premier League title, face a tricky opening-weekend clash away to a big-six rival, but can be backed at 11/20 for maximum points with Spurs available at 5/1 to stun the champions in north London.
Champions add star quality
Guardiola's side were dominant domestically in the Premier League last season, finishing 12 points clear of the chasing pack, and the capture of Grealish from Aston Villa for a British transfer record fee has only strengthened the Manchester men ahead of the 2021-22 season.
Grealish faces a battle to find a starting spot in a star-studded City squad which also includes England Euro 2020 finalist teammates Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden and admitted departing Villa was a tough call given his close links to the a team he supported as a child but is determined to make an impact at the Etihad following his arrival on a six-year contract.
Pep the big draw
The prospect of working with former Barcelona and Bayern Munich serial winning manager Guardiola was one of the main attractions in joining City, according to playmaker Grealish who is still awaiting his first major honour as a player.
Grealish told BBC Sport: "I'm going to be learning from him every day and I genuinely cannot wait to work with him.
"The way he is in training is unbelievable. The stuff he has certain players doing in certain positions - it is something I would never think of and it just works.
"Everyone here is so desperate to play under him. Pep was a massive factor in me coming."
