Pep Guardiola has a derby to prepare for

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has insisted that his side have switched their attentions to the derby with Manchester United after beating Club Brugge.

The Citizens are 4/6 to beat their rivals in the Premier League showdown at Old Trafford on Saturday, with the draw priced at 16/5 and the visitors 11/4 to win by a one-goal margin.

Citizens batter Brugge

Guardiola's men were comfortable 4-1 winners over Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, with goals from Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus securing victory.

A John Stones own goal was the only blemish on City's evening and that win, combined with Paris Saint Germain drawing 2-2 away to RB Leipzig, means that the Citizens have returned to the top of their Champions League group.

Of course we have a plan and we are going to try to do our own thing.

In his post-match press conference, Guardiola gave a summary of his team's position in their European competition, before shifting his emphasis to the weekend's derby.

He told his club's official website: "Every game my focus is the next one and I never think about the second one.

"I know the game against United is the most important thing, we are going to create a good environment - now we think about United."

Red Devils always a danger

"Tomorrow I am going to analyse carefully what they are. I know how good they are - we saw it last season and they have one of the best players in history.

"Of course we have a plan and we are going to try to do our own thing."

In the Premier League Guardiola's side currently sit third after they were beaten 2-0 by Crystal Palace last time out and they have failed to defeat United in any of their last four league meetings.
