Trophies the goal for Grealish
Jack Grealish says he couldn't turn down the chance to win trophies after joining Manchester City from Aston Villa.
Competing for major trophies is something that I wanted to do.Jack Grealish
Grealish himself seemed to indicate that he would be open to a move but appeared reluctant to push for a deal due to his love for the Villans.
City smash record
A British record of £100m was agreed between the two clubs and the 25-year-old has signed a six-year contract at the Etihad, where he will wear the number 10 shirt recently vacated by Sergio Aguero.
The England international says he is excited about the prospect of working under "a manager considered to be the best in the world", Pep Guardiola.
Grealish admits the speculation over the last few months has made it difficult for him to focus on football and is pleased that he'll now be able to concentrate on on-field matters.
Trophies the target
Trophies are clearly his goal, admitting the prospect of winning silverware was something he simply could not ignore.
He said: "It was obviously a difficult few months because I have been an Aston Villa fan for my whole life, but when I spoke to the manager here and you see what type of players they have got here, in the end it was something I couldn't say no to.
