Gonzaga Bulldogs are through to the Regional Semifinals of the NCAA men's basketball tournament after a convincing 87-71 win over Oklahoma Sooners.

Drew Timme starred for the Bulldogs as the 20-year-old forward scored 30 points and had 13 rebounds in 34 minutes.

Gonzaga are bidding to become the first unbeaten men’s team since Indiana in 1976, and coach Mark Few was delighted with Monday's win over Oklahoma.

"We've been celebrating every one of these wins," Few said after the game, as reported by USA Today. "You know, Zags go really, really hard and they prepare really hard, and after a win we celebrate hard and we know how to have a great time. And I think that's one of the things that makes our program so special."

The Bulldogs will take on Creighton next in the Sweet 16 round after the Bluejays brought an end to Ohio Bobcats season with a 72-58 victory on Monday.

Gonzaga may have been expecting to meet the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Regional Final but the Western Regional's second seed slipped to a surprise defeat to Oregon Ducks.

Oregon will take on USC in their next game ahead of a clash with either Gonzaga or Creighton.

Michigan Wolverines, the top seed in the Eastern Regional, are also through to the Sweet 16 stage after ending LSU's hopes of taking the title.  Michigan will play Florida State in their next game, with UCLA and Alabama contesting the other regional semifinal.

Gonzaga are 4/9 to win the NCAA Tournament outright, Michigan are available at 100/1 and Oregon are 3000/1.
