Brady reaches 600th NFL touchdown passes

Tom Brady was relieved to get his hands on the game ball from the throw which brought him his 600th NFL touchdown pass in Tampa Bay's 38-3 rout of the Chicago Bears - although the fan who gave it back may feel differently.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner became the first to pass that milestone in league history as the Buccaneers, 11/2 to repeat their Super Bowl LV success, moved to 6-1 on the season.

Brady reaches landmark

The 44-year-old threw for four touchdowns, three to wide receiver Mike Evans, who appeared to forget Brady's piece of history when he threw the game ball to a fan in the crowd wearing a replica of his jersey.

That then led Bucs officials to hastily identify the fan and offer him an exchange of an alternative, signed game ball and shirt for the piece of football memorabilia that could be worth in the region of $600,000 according to one trader's estimate.

"I believe I'm just very lucky to play with so many great players and teammates over the years," Brady said after the game, via sports.yahoo.com. "I try to play the game the best I can.

But he may have been somewhat less impressed by the forgetfulness of Evans, who he revealed had instant regrets over his actions.

"He said, 'Oh man, do you want it back?'" Brady said. "I said, 'I think they are going to get it.'

"I definitely know we got that one back," Brady said of the historic ball. "That was one I wanted to have."
