NFL: Jets set to stick with White
Mike White is trending towards getting another chance to start for the New York Jets, despite Zach Wilson's return to practice in the days leading up to Sunday's clash with the Buffalo Bills.
The Jets, who are 21/4 on the Money Line to pick up their third straight home win when they face the Bills, are beset by an unlikely quarterback controversy. Follow the action via our Sports Live Streaming platform.
White tipped for Jets start
White stepped up to fill in when Wilson picked up a knee injury early in the Jets' 54-13 blowout loss to the New England Patriots three weeks ago.
The journeyman backup performed just as expected in that relief outing, throwing a couple of interceptions and a touchdown.
But things began to get interesting when the 26-year-old led the Jets to a huge upset win over the Cincinnati Bengals a week later, throwing the ball efficiently and for over 400 yards in his first career start.

He again looked good in the early going of last Thursday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, finishing his only touchdown drive with lovely throw to rookie receiver Elijah Moore, before being forced out of the game with a forearm injury.
White and Wilson are both expected to be deemed fit to face the reigning AFC East champion Bills at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, but Jets coach Robert Saleh is remaining unusually coy about his choice of starter.
"If he's not fully healthy...it'd be irresponsible of us to throw him out there," Saleh told reporters of Wilson, suggesting the Jets are leaning towards White this week, via nfl.com.
"I just know as it goes from day-to-day and game-to-game, I just think it's really cool that Mike was able to take advantage of this opportunity."
