NFL: Niners sweating over status of All-Pro tackle
The San Francisco 49ers remain uncertain about the status of All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Williams sustained an ankle injury during the Niners' 13-10 win over the Green Bay Packers in last weekend's Divisional Round and would be a huge miss if he couldn't suit up for San Francisco, who are 31/20 on the Money Line, against the 4/7 Rams.
The 6-foot-5, 320-pound tackle was named the league's best player earlier this month after earning a 98.5 run blocking grade from Pro Football Focus - the highest-ever grade handed down by the sports analytics company.
He was seen on crutches after the game at Lambeau Field and, although 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Monday that Williams' X-rays were negative, his injury going to have to make some progress through this week.

There was some better news for fans of the Red and Gold when Shanahan updated the media on Deebo Samuel, who was also seen limping in Saturday's game.
The San Francisco head coach said Samuel took a helmet to the knee, but should be at Niners' practice on Wednesday.
Thomas on the comeback trail
Meanwhile, the coach said cornerback Ambry Thomas, who was inactive on Saturday because of a knee injury, has better prospects of playing against the Rams on Sunday than he did last weekend.
Meanwhile, running back Jeff Wilson, who was injured and ruled out early on at Lambeau Field, has a low-ankle sprain but retains a chance of playing on Sunday, with all the action on the Sports Live Streaming platform.
